“Undoubtedly the finest news digest around, constantly supplying nuggets of up to date information on all aspects of the Scottish environment.”

Dr Charles Warren, University of St Andrews

“Just a note to say how much we in Scottish Wildlife Trust appreciate SCENES – it is a very useful roundup of environmental news and a very useful tool for a busy chief executive! Thank you for your outstanding effort.”

Simon Milne MBE, chief executive, Scottish Wildlife Trust

“Possibly the best hard news information resource available in Scotland”
The Scottish Environmental Handbook

SCENES has a unique place in environmental journalism. It offers straight reporting, without comment or interpretation, of what is going on in Scotland’s environment, using the words of those involved.”

The late Magnus Magnusson, Scottish broadcaster and writer

“Accurate, neutral, concise, consistent, readable, encyclopaedic in scope – these are some of our favourite things about SCENES – a ‘must read’ for anyone wanting to keep up with the burgeoning flow of media material on the environment in Scotland today.”

Simon Pepper, formerly head of WWF Scotland

“The development of environment policy and awareness of environment issues in Scotland has been greatly assisted by the news service which is SCENES. It is the only place to look for all the news.”

Ross Finnie MSP, a past minister for environment and rural development
